WHAT TO WEAR
Where possible try to wear nude or white underwear. A good fitting strapless bra will make all the difference when trying to imagine how your perfect dress will fit! Although many of our dresses have in built corsets and so a bra may not be required, we advise you to come prepared as we hope you will be trying on many different styles of dress.
We understand that for many of us leaving the house without make-up is unthinkable, but we hope you can imagine how heavily applied make-up can be a disaster for our gorgeous dresses. All we ask of you is that makeup be applied lightly for your appointment.
BE OPEN MINDED
Many of you will come to us with the exact idea of the dress you imagine you will wear on your big day. We hope you will let us guide you with our expert advice and styling as to what is right for your body shape. You may find you will be surprised as to what suits you!
If you are after an original vintage gown we carry a small collection in store, but if we don't have quite what you're looking for please let us know and we will do the best to source you the perfect dress.
WHEN TO BUY?
Timelines- in an ideal world your chosen dress should be ordered roughly six months prior to your wedding date, to allow time for at least two fittings so we can ensure the best possible fit of your dress. However don't panic if you don't have quite so much time left to play with, as many of our designers will do their best to put a rush order through to get your perfect dress here on time. Although please keep in mind depending on how quickly the dress is required may determine if a rush fee is then charged.
Before leaving our boutique with the dress of your dreams you will have at least two fittings with our talented seamstress. PLEASE NOTE that these will only be available on a Wednesday and Friday weekday. It is advised that at your first fitting you try to have your wedding shoes and underwear you will be wearing on the day so we can get the fit just right! If you are planning on a dramatic weight loss before your wedding please advise us at this time.
